This AI summit aims to equip library and health information professionals with the understanding required to meet the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence across all areas of their work. Through examining search and discovery algorithms, AI literacy initiatives, collection development strategies, research workflows, and clinical applications, attendees will gain actionable knowledge to consider in implementing AI ethically and effectively in their institutions. By convening health information professionals with corporate partners in this rapidly evolving technological landscape, the summit facilitates essential professional development for those serving on the frontlines of information services.
What to Expect
- Health Information Professionals will actively engage in discussions, sharing their experiences and challenges faced in their respective institutions
- Our library corporate partners will have the opportunity to showcase their AI planning, technologies, and services relevant to healthcare and health information management and how they can partner with health information professionals to seamlessly integrate AI-enabled products in the research and clinical space.
- The National Library of Medicine (NLM) will share expert insights on issues related to national and international standards, data management practices, and research trends in AI and provide updates on NLM’s initiatives, research findings, and future directions with AI.
