Offered: Saturday, May 22, 8:00 a.m.–noon

Participants will be familiarized with the basic tenets of evidence-based practice (EBP) and learn how to apply these principles to both clinical practice and patient preferences. Beginning with an introduction to EBP, participants will discuss various methods for creating an evidence-based culture in their hospital and look at the patient-empowerment movement.
