MLA '10: Job Placement ServiceWhether you are seeking an entry-level position, an opportunity for advancement, or a change of scenery or you are an employer seeking a highly qualified employee, take advantage of the Job Placement Center. Individual job seekers and employers must register with the Job Placement Center by completing the forms available below, calling 312.419.9094 x13, or emailing Membership Services (please use “Job Placement Center” in subject line). All forms will be accepted whether or not you are able to attend MLA ’10. Employers are assessed fees for participating; there is no fee for job seekers. The deadline for all forms is May 14, 2010. After May 14, 2010, please bring all forms to the placement center. In addition to the onsite Job Placement Center, employers can post job opportunities on the MLA ’10 website for $100 for 2 months. FormsJob Opportunity/Employer Form I MLA Personalized Resume ClinicThe Professional Recruitment and Retention Committee (PRRC), in conjunction with the MLA Job Placement Center, will sponsor the MLA Personalized Resume Clinic. If you have a cover letter, resume, and/or CV you would like to have reviewed, please sign up. Each participating member will have fifteen to twenty minutes with a reviewer. During that time, the reviewer will critique your cover letter, resume, and/or CV and offer tips and advice for improvement. The resume clinic is available near the MLA Job Placement Center hours, on Sunday, May 23, and Monday, May 24. If you would like to send your information in advance of your arrival, please send it to Rhona Kelley, or you can bring it with you. Drop-ins are welcome. You must attend MLA ’10 to use this service.
