Amtrak Train Depot
The Twin Cities Amtrak depot is centrally located between Minneapolis and St. Paul. Amtrak serves all of the United States and Toronto and Montreal in Canada.
Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport
The international airport is located twelve miles, or fifteen minutes, from downtown Minneapolis. The city is served by nine major regional carriers offering nonstop or direct service in less than two and a half hours from most US cities: Air Canada, America West, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, TWA, United Airlines, US Airways, and Vanguard Airlines.
SuperShuttle of Minneapolis/St. Paul provides an opportunity to save money and time when you arrive in Minneapolis. Downtown Bus Zone
Getting to and from your hotel, the Minneapolis Convention Center, and most of downtown’s major shopping and restaurant locations is easy. Pay no fare on buses marked “Free Ride” while traveling on Nicollet Mall. Look for free-ride buses at the stations every 10 minutes from 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. on weekdays and every 15–30 minutes on evenings and weekends. Getting around Minneapolis is a breeze with 17 rail stations between the entertainment-packed Warehouse District in downtown Minneapolis and the shopper’s paradise, Mall of America in Bloomington. With stops at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, Historic Fort Snelling, restaurants along Hiawatha Avenue, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, and various locations along 5th Street in downtown, the Hiawatha Line can provide a full day of entertainment and still get you to the airport on time!
Metro Transit bus routes connect with light rail stations. Transfers between bus and rail are valid if used within 150 minutes.
