This hands-on class introduces the “problem” of health literacy and an overview of easy-to-read resources. Topics include: the concept of health literacy; plain language initiatives such as text, graphics, and layout; and readability tests. Participants will have the opportunity to evaluate, review, and rewrite a variety of health information materials.
