CE309 Librarians Without Borders®: Internet-Based Information Resources for Health Professionals in Low and Emerging Income Countries

Cost: Free to MLA members (nonmember, $50)

Offered: Wednesday, May 8, 1:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

The course will cover searching strategies, evaluation of Internet-based health information, key features of HINARI, PubMed options for accessing HINARI resources and free literature, plus an extensive overview of health information on the Internet including gray literature, e-journal, e-books, and evidence-based medicine resources. Also included will be an overview of useful Internet-accessible training material.

Note: Attendees will be required to bring a laptop computer or other device with Wifi capability to participate in hands-on activities.
