This email discussion list was created for the MLA Independent Reading Program and gives participants a chance to discuss the issues, ask questions, and exchange ideas regarding each of the approved IRP articles. Participation is optional. The best part is that it is easy to use.

  1. Sign up online via Mailman.
  2. Fill in the form including your email address and a password. Press "Subscribe."
  3. You will be sent an email requesting confirmation and follow confirmation instructions.

  1. Send your email messages to the address mla-irp@mlahq.org. (Only subscribers may send messages to the list.) Do not send commands to this address.
  2. Type your message.
  3. Make sure to include a subject in the subject line.
  4. Always sign your messages.
  5. Send it to others on the list.

The command structure is user-friendly, but very unforgiving on typos. Just like dialing a telephone number, if your entry has even one incorrect number or letter, you get incorrect results. Double check the address and command.
