The staff at Claude Moore Health Sciences Library branded their services and resources with the use of a library logo. The staff printed mouse pads to advertise the new logo and the library's services.

University of Florida Health Science Center Libraries received last year's NMLM Creative Promotions Award for their take on the ALA Read campaign. The library staff created Rxead posters and bookmarks featuring the college's deans. Each item included information about the library.

Magnets were prouced by the library staff at the Galter Library to remind patrons of the library's new Website. The library's communications committee drafted the magnet design and a mass mailing of the magnet was sent to university faculty and staff.

To recognize and promote NYMC faculty scholars who have published during the previous academic year, the library staff at New York Medical College held an "Author Sherry." The "invitation-only" event, ws co-hosted by the college's Dean/Provostis. Staff created the invitations and distributed special pins in honor of the event.

To top of page Virginia Commonwealth University, Community Health Education Center-Richmond

To promote their services to patients and family members, the staff at Virginia Commonwealth University's Community Health Education Center worked with the hospital admissions department to include this coupon in patient admission packets. The coupons were color-coded for inpatients and outpatients.

To top of page Regional Academic Health Center Medical Library, Harlingen, Texas

The staff of the Regional Academic Health Center Medical Library conducted consumer health resource classes and participated in health fairs to promote health literacy in their community. In addition, the library staff designed a cartoon for imprinting on bags, puzzles and other fun items for distribution at these events. The activities and the marketing items resulted in greater exposure for the library.

To top of page Ebling Library, University of Wisconsin-Madison

When the three health sciences libraries of the University of Wisconsin-Madison were merged into one facility, the new Ebling Library, library staff spread the word with flyers, fact sheets and buttons. By creating the items, the library staff successfully informed patrons of the library's re-opening, new location as well as the services available during the move.
