The 2004 NMLM Creative Promotions Award recognizes innovation in promoting health librarianship. The staff at Great Lakes Naval Hospital Medical Library received the 2004 first place for their take on the "Come Borrow Our Power Tools" 2004 theme. Staff displayed library "power tools" and dressed in hard hats and aprons while visiting different departments with carts full of materials for hospital staff to check out on the spot.
