Skeletons, passports, and cafe menus were inspirations for a few of these attractive and informative brochures created by MLA members to promote their librarys' services. (Please click on the image for a larger view.)
A skeletal friend was used for this Kornhauser Health Sciences Library, Louisville, KY brochure which features information about the library's many services. .To promote their Family Library, staff at Shriners Hospitals for Children, Tampa, FL, designed this colorful brochure with FAQ's guiding parents and patients on how to use the health library.

McGoogan Library of Medicine, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE received the 2005 Swap and Shop "Best In Show" Prize for the "Passport to Information" self-directed orientation to their library for the school's new medical students.

This appetizing sample was created by the staff at Scott Memorial Hospital at Thomas Jefferson University. The Jeffline Forum, a monthly electronic journal contains new resources, upcoming events and continuing series on PDAs.

This colorful brochure draws patrons into the Health Learnning Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL. The brochure explains the many services available to patrons at the center. Staff at California's Kaiser Permanente Health Science Library, used the NMLM theme, "On site, on line, and on top of the latest information" for a brochure about their library which included resource, staff, and contact information for all four library branches.

Librarians at Morristown Memorial Hospital and Overlook Hospital of Atlantic Health placed this brochure in as many public places as possible including libraries, pharmacies, and senior centers to make sure that people in the hospitals' catchment are were aware of the library and its services. Staff at Claude Moore Health Sciences Library, University of Virginia--Charlottesville, created a series of brochures focusing on different audiences at the institution and how the library staff can serve the specific needs of each group. The brochures used quotes using actual case studies thus making the brochures more personal and to put a human face on the services librarians provide.

To help distinguish the medical library (which is free and open to the public) from the health resource center, which serves the medical staff, Seton Medical Center Library, Daly City, CA, used the 2004 poster artwork for this brochure. The staff at Booker Health Sciences Library at the Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, NJ, distributed a bookmark to accompany this attractive brochure
