Scholarly Communication Resources

MLA's Ad Hoc Committee for Advocating Scholarly Communications thanks members of the library community who have provided the following information on 2011 journal prices. As this list shows, several publishers have frozen 2011 prices at 2009 and 2010 levels and are offering libraries additional pricing options in recognition of current economic constraints. The committee also thanks the publishers who have provided these pricing options to support library needs. This list will continue to be updated as information becomes available.

American Diabetes Association	Diabetes, Diabetes Care, Clinical Diabetes, Diabetes Spectrum	ADA does not plan an increase for North America but will increase prices for overseas customers and for those with site licenses that have more than 5 IP addresses
American Foundation for the Blind	Journal of Visual Impairment & Blindness	Prices will remain frozen at 2010 levels
American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology	Journal of Biological Chemistry	JBC is going all electronic in 2011 and will freeze prices at 2010 levels for those libraries shifting subscriptions from print to online
American Society of Clinical Oncology	Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO); Journal of Oncology Practice (JOP)	All prices for JOP will be frozen; online subscription prices for JCO will be frozen at 2010 levels
American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists	Copeia	Prices will remain frozen at 2010 levels

The price freeze guarantees the 2011 price for 3 years for customers who commit to maintaining individual subscriptions for this period and can be managed by your subscription agent. Customers who signed up to the 2010 price freeze will see no increase in price in 2011 .
