Are You a New Librarian? Why You Should Submit a Proposal for MLA ‘24 and New Drop-In Sessions
The 2024 National Program Committee (NPC) invites colleagues who are newer to the profession to submit a contributed paper abstract for MLA ‘24.
Hearing from new and diverse voices will enhance the conference experience and benefit our profession. Presenting at MLA ‘24 is a good career step because you gain experience, demonstrate professional growth, and enhance connections to your colleagues.
What are Contributed Papers?
Contributed Papers are 10-12-minute presentations that fall into two broad categories:
- Program papers: Abstracts describe the creation, improvement, and assessment of products, programs, technologies, administrative practices, or services conducted by librarians and information professionals.
- Research papers: Abstracts report on designing, conducting, and analyzing a research project.
