MLANET This Week (8/15/2024)

Community Discussions Reminder

  • If you read community discussions within 15 minutes of posting (i.e., you check your notifications and read on MLANET), you will not receive an email with that posting.
  • If you are following email and see “New Post” with a subject you are not interested in, do nothing—you will not receive anything more about that subject.
  • If you see “New Post” and it IS a subject about which you want to receive follow-up notifications, visit that post and select the “subscribe” button to the right of the post (desktop) or under the post (mobile).
  • Follow-up conversations will have a subject line [MLA] New Reply to <subject of original post> in <community>.
  • If you post something in your community and want to see if others reply, check the “Notify me of new replies” box at the bottom of the post interface and you will automatically be “subscribed” to that post.
  • There is no email address to post to a community via email.
  • We are not able to send a daily digest from all my communities; the current system works more like standard social media programs.

Now Available

We’ve launched institutional webinar volume purchases.

Institutions and organizations can purchase a site license to present or make available live and/or recorded MLA webinars to multiple employees and guests. Choose the number of coupons you’d like to receive and the webinar for which they should be valid.

Institutional purchasers can then distribute coupons to individuals who can register for the webinar and claim MLA CE credit.

Questions? Connect with Debra Cavanaugh or Kate Corcoran.

Almost Ready

We’ve had success with our test load of education transcripts but there are a few items to work out before we make them visible in your MEDLIB-ED transcript area. When they do, we’ll ask you to verify your information and report anything missing. Courses you’ve taken and completed since the transition are available in your transcript.
