- Write an hypothesis or research question that aligns with a statistical analysis
- Match type of data to statistical test
- Verify whether statistically-specific words in a research question match with the appropriate type of test, and adjust the question accordingly
- Align statistical analyses with requirements for journal articles and assessment reports
Audience
Beginning library researchers. Comfort with statistical vocabulary will help, but is not required.
Presenter
Nina Exner is the research data librarian at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)–Richmond, serving core and medical researchers at VCU Libraries. She has over twenty years of library experience, including more than ten years in scholarly communications, data support, and researcher services. In addition, her area of research focuses on how librarians learn to do research and navigate the publishing process.
