Introduction to Precision Medicine

This on demand class is designed to introduce you to the concept of precision medicine and the motivations behind the Precision Medicine Initiative, which both seek to more accurately treat and prevent disease. Throughout the four modules, you will explore precision medicine’s current clinical applications, inherent ethical/legal/social implications, relevant National Library of Medicine and other genomic resources and tools, and how the All of Us Research Program is advancing precision medicine research.

Learning Objectives

After completion of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Define precision medicine, its current state, and how it may impact human health in the
  • Explain the clinical applications of precision medicine focusing on pharmacogenomics and genetic
