If you are new to using Covidence to manage systematic reviews or have experience with the tool and want to up your game, this webinar is for you. You will learn how to use Covidence and how to get the best from the subject matter experts on your team by showing them how Covidence streamlines the review process.
Alexis Ellsworth-Kopkowski and Mary Pat Harnegie, both experienced Covidence users and administrators, approach Covidence instruction from the point of view of the librarian on a review team. They will show you how to use Covidence yourself, and how to guide teams new to Covidence and, especially, teams new to Covidence and systematic reviews, through the review process. You will be able to reduce team miscommunication and understand how Covidence serves the review process.
Using a demo review, you will learn how to use a wide range of Covidence’s capabilities. You’ll be able to:
- Set up a new review (creating review, inviting reviewers, choosing preferences)
- Import search results from common biomedical databases
- Manage citations in title/abstract and full text review
- Upload full text articles to the full text review stage
- Update searches for existing reviews
- Export citation information and extracted data from the platform
- Manage PRISMA data for inclusion in final manuscript
- Use Covidence’ s workflow to prevent bias
- Manage non-systematic reviews, such as scoping and rapid reviews
If you or your institution doesn’t have Covidence, you can register for a free trial version.
You’ll leave the webinar with skills and confidence that will enable you to work with teams to create high-quality reviews and increase the chances of those reviews being published.
This course is an approved elective for Level I of the Systematic Review Searching Specialization.
