Survey Design: Reporting and Displaying Survey Results

If you’ve written and administered a high quality survey, you’ll want to do it justice by presenting your results in informative and compelling ways. In Survey Design: Reporting and Displaying Survey Results you’ll learn how to tailor a report to an audience, present clear, easy-to-read charts, and create full reports, executive summaries, and presentations.

  • Identify the most appropriate chart type and table for presenting specific survey results

  • Identify and avoid ethical issues in creating reports

Audience

All health sciences librarians, other health information professionals, and students. Knowledge of survey questionnaire design or completion of the companion course, Survey Design: Sampling, Implementation, and Analysis, is recommended.

Subject Matter Expert 

Susan M. Wolfe, PhD, has been conducting research and evaluating programs for over 35 years. She has published countless technical reports, executive summaries,  infographics, book chapters, and peer reviewed journal articles and has presented at national and international conferences. Her career includes conducting research in university settings and evaluating programs and policies for school districts, community-based medical centers, nonprofit organizations, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General. Susan is a community and developmental psychologist by training, and a community consultant with Susan Wolfe and Associates.

Susan developed the course based on a template created by Deborah Charbonneau, the subject matter expert for the companion course, Survey Design: Sampling, Implementation, and Analysis
