Does your library have a collection of historical medical books? Have you wondered if they should be part of your general collections or part of special collections? Using the article “Evaluating a historical medical book collection” as a backdrop to discuss these questions, the MLA Collection Development Caucus will host an informal session, Sept 10 at 1:00 EST, about the blurred lines between special collections and general collections. A short presentation followed by a discussion will be facilitated by Robyn Gleasner, Resource Management Librarian at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Library & Informatics Center.
